This burl developed as a complete sphere around the trunk, an unusually complete expression of an already irregular growth. Its bark has been carefully shaped to refine its edges while preserving the original contours, revealing the remarkable variation in its form.

Veins of deep blue epoxy trace the natural voids through the wood, contrasting with the rich warm colours and intense figure brought forward by the finish and exposure to sunlight.
Compact yet substantial, its organic form gives it a strong presence in any room it occupies.
