THE STORY

A Sugar Maple healed branch knot, shaped to preserve the irregular structure of the growth while exposing the compressed grain and chatoyancy within. Deep fuming deepens the maple's natural colour and creates greater contrast between the grain figure and the warmly tinted turquoise epoxy inlay.
